
ABOUT KIM, CHAN WOO
FILM DIRECTOR. FILMMAKER. STORYTELLER.
An award-winning film director, Kim, Chan Woo, was born deaf and has a hearing aid that allows him to hear well. He is a creative person who loves to create inspirational films. Recently, Kim graduated and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Summa Cum Laude degree in Film Directing from Columbia College Chicago in December 2021. Kim is also attending DePaul University in his Graduate Program to earn his Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Directing. He is very passionate when it comes to directing and making films. His ultimate goal is to inspire and deliver inspirational lessons throughout his films. He had directed and made more than 100 films, including working with Warner Brothers and the University of Southern California.

MMEA sponsors an annual student video festival to recognize student achievement in television.
